One participant reported that women who do not submit photos of themselves in traditional gender-appropriate dress as part of their job applications will have their applications rejected. There was concern among the participants that even within the movement for sexual rights, women face more discrimination than men when it comes to expressing their sexuality publicly. Another participant from the media highlighted that the government is also interested in the expression of women’s sexuality, and alleged that many of the complaints put before the Press Council by the Ministry of Information are related to women’s state of dress within newspapers and journals.182 While the media may be portraying women negatively, the complaints have resulted in a bizarre situation where a Press Council made up almost entirely of old men has the power to decide whether and how women, predominantly young, may express their sexuality, which includes through the way they dress. -^."
