2.1.2
Use the e-commerce hub network to facilitate the use of
Myanmar e-commerce platforms to enable domestic sales
by businesses in Myanmar.
This strategy proposes the development of general purpose
B2B e-commerce platforms, sector specific e-commerce
platforms and an e-procurement platform. These platforms
will supplement the existing B2C e-commerce platforms.
Both existing and proposed e-commerce platforms are
intended to provide services to MSMEs. MSMEs will
require considerable local support to create and manage
their own online shops and to participate as suppliers to
large businesses through the e-procurement platform.
Therefore, the output of this measure
is expected to be the adoption of ecommerce by many businesses across
Myanmar in diverse sectors.
This support will be provided through the e-commerce hub
network. It will offer training and advice regarding the
following topics.
1.
E-commerce awareness and first steps
2.
Social media selling
3.
Selling through an e-commerce platform including
both existing and proposed platforms
4.
Migration from social media to an e-commerce
platform
5.
Specific topics such as catalogue creation and
management, e-payments, fulfilment and delivery,
taxation, customs, the importance of consistent high
product quality when selling at a distance
