On June 26, 2024, the Hmine Wai Telegram channel circulated posts calling for
airstrikes at the Kyatpyin-Kyaukphar junction, west of Mogok, claiming that
TNLA forces had blocked access to the city.

The calls for airstrikes intensified on June 29, when the Kyaw Swar Telegram
channel further amplified these incitement posts.
