Ultimately, lasting change will depend not only on stronger systems, but also on transforming the social norms and values that enable violence against children to persist. Only by challenging the attitudes, inequalities and assumptions that enable exploitation and silence survivors can a future be built in which all children are truly safe, supported and protected. Children have shared their experiences with honesty and courage. Their voices must lead to change.
