6.1 Bank account
and debit/credit card
ownership
The results of our 2016 survey suggest
that four percent of respondents had
personal bank accounts, and that a third
of those with bank accounts had debit/
credit cards. This is an increase from 2015
when less than three percent had bank
accounts. Furthermore, the urban population had a higher percentage of bank accounts than rural population (Figure 68).
