In order to meet future growth in internet demand, it is desirable to introduce an IPv6 network in Yangon. It is also planned to introduce 10 GbE core routers in three places, Yangon, Naypyitaw and Mandalay, under the Project for Urgent Improvement of Communication Networks scheduled to be completed at the end of 2013 in order to expand ISP services. (2) Necessity (Relevance) IPv4 address which is allocated in Myanmar at present is very few comparing to other ASEAN countries as shown in Table 7.1-6. IPv6-enabled devices and IPv4 IPv6 interconnection model (translation model that allows direct connection between IPv4v6 end users) will be introduced against the depletion of IPv4 addresses allocated to Myanmar. In addition, the IPv6 core routers and gateway exchange equipment to be introduced in Yangon under the Project for Urgent Improvement of Communication Networks will be utilized. Core router composing of IPS carries out data communications between the cities for internet and controls the route. Internet traffic is forecasted up to 629.25 Gbps as described in Table 5.2-7. 7-28
