Nov 11 Karenni ethnic resistance organizations organized the Operation 1111 offensive against the junta on November 11, 2023. The objective of the operation was to capture Loikaw, the capital of Karenni State, and Pekon town in southern Shan State. At the time, two-thirds of the Loikaw region was under the control of Karenni groups. Nov 20 Hospital in Demoso Demoso Township, Karenni State Locations: Kwel Thawdaw and Daw Rot Khu villages, Demoso Township, Karenni State 12:40 a.m. The junta launched an aerial attack in Kwel Thawdaw village in Demoso Township, Karenni State, injuring two civilians. That same evening, the junta launched an airstrike targeting a Catholic church in Daw Rot Khu village, Demoso Township in Karenni State. The attack injured 11 internally displaced persons, including a social worker sheltering in the church, and damaged the church building. 6 p.m. November 20, 2023 12:40 a.m. Injured: Significant Structures Affected: 6 Hospital Children: 1 Elderly: 1 A 57-year-old grandmother and her 15-year-old grandson were injured in an airstrike on their village earlier and experienced another airstrike while they were at the hospital. As a result, many civilian homes were destroyed. 1 p.m. Junta forces launched ten artillery shells into western Demoso Township, injuring a woman and damaging some buildings. 9 p.m. A junta fighter jet bombed the same area three times, damaging civilian homes. Hpruso A junta airstrike on a civilian bus killed two passengers and injured three others. There were no reports of fighting in the vicinity at the time. 23
