These include the anniversary of the coup, calls for a federal system, Myanmar's New Year and traditional holidays, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi's birthday, 7 July, Martyrs' Day, National Day, Revolutionary Lighting Festival, gender equality, and Human Rights Day. Additionally, protests have been triggered by specific events, such as calls for rejecting pressure from China to halt the 1027 Operation, opposition to the unjust conscription law, demands for international pressure regarding airstrikes against innocent civilians, and objections to the election and the census. Notably, in June 2024, following the the attack on the vehicle of the Win Neinmitayon Monastery Sayadaw from Bago, Buddhist monks in 24 townships organized boycotts of the military regime, an exceptional form of resistance.
