Goal 9.2: Domestic reforms complementary to Myanmar’s existing trade commitments relating to e-commerce are prioritized
9.2.1
Prioritize domestic reforms supportive of
e-commerce development (including the
ongoing drafting and/or updating process
of certain domestic laws) which account
for Myanmar trade commitments under
the ASEAN FTAs, intra-ASEAN
agreements such as the ASEAN
Agreement on Electronic Commerce, as
well as AFAS and ATIGA.
The centrality of ASEAN and other regional
commitments in Myanmar’s laws is entrenched
while provisions suited to the domestic context are
retained.
Regional regulatory coherence is promoted,
resulting in greater market access and increasing
use of e-commerce.
