NEW OBSTACLE: SLOWER INTERNET
On Feb. 4, the day Facebook is banned, internet speeds suddenly drop.
People in Myanmar experience significantly slower internet for long
stretches lasting more than 12 hours.
Internet speed is measured on working connections. During shutdowns,
when few people can access the internet, there is little internet traffic and
so the speed can be faster.
