The Author
Victoire Rio is a researcher and digital rights advocate with a background in conflict,
peacebuilding, data and technology. She has been working in Myanmar since 2015, where
she researches the social media landscape and advises Myanmar Civil Society on how to
mitigate the risk of social media induced violence and political instability.
