Internet connection was totally cut off in 8 townships out of 37, only 2G internet is accessible
in the 23 townships and internet access was available in the remaining six townships in the
Sagaing Region, one of the most highly war-torn regions in the country. The eight townships
that have been cut off the internet are Yinmarbin, Pale, Kani, Budalin, Ayadaw, Pinlebu,
Wuntho and Kawlin. Resulting in approximately 1 million people having their to internet
access violated and approximately 3 million people having internet access reduced in 2022
