A prominent example occurred in June, when incitement activity through Telegram channels peaked with 48 instances following the second wave of Operation 1027 on June 25. Within six days, 23 incitements targeted northern Shan State, where the Three Brotherhood Alliance launched offensive attacks, while in Mandalay Region, six specific incitements focused solely on Mogok. Over the six-month monitoring period, we identified (234) instances of online incitement to violence on pro-military council Telegram channels. These incitements targeted numerous locations, many of which subsequently experienced real-world attacks attributed to the military council. From these incidents, DVB Fact Check has spotlighted four prominent cases, each substantiated by documented evidence. Fact Check: Evidence DVB Fact Check verified four incidents where online incitements to violence directly led to real-world consequences. Independent and credible news sources, along with photo and video evidence, confirmed these incidents. Using tools like Google Earth Pro and Google Maps, we cross-checked and gathered extensive data to establish a clear connection between the incitements posted online and subsequent violence on the ground. -9-
