documenting human rights violations in Myanmar, verified the geolocation of
the airstrike, which impacted Nawnghkio’s downtown fire station.
The airstrike in Nawnghkio, conducted just one day after these incitements,
provides clear evidence of real-world consequences resulting from calls to
violence circulated on pro-military Telegram channels. Case Study #3 serves as
proof of this link, with incitements for airstrikes over Nawnghkio posted on June
26 and 28. Additionally, on June 27, a pro-military Telegram channel also incited
an airstrike on Kyaukme.
