Study sample for this report The analyses presented in this report are based on nationally representative household survey data from internet-using children aged 12–17 years across 21 countries. Approximately 1,000 children and 1,000 of their parents or caregivers were surveyed in each country. The indicators in the analysis are comparable across countries. The dataset includes the 12 countries from the first round of Disrupting Harm, with data collected primarily during 2020–2021: Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania and Uganda (Eastern and Southern Africa); and Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Viet Nam (Southeast Asia). It also includes nine countries from the second round of Disrupting Harm with data collected during 2024–2025: Brazil, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Mexico (Latin America and the Caribbean); Armenia, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia (Eastern Europe and Central Asia); and Pakistan (South Asia). Where analyses combine data from both rounds of the study, findings should be interpreted with the understanding that data were collected during different time periods. Unless otherwise stated, analyses presented in this appendix combine estimates from all 21 countries listed above. Countrylevel estimates are presented individually, with summary statistics reported as the sum of countrylevel population estimates, and the average estimate across the 21 countries, where appropriate. Analyses relating to indicators introduced only in the second round of Disrupting Harm are based on the nine countries for which these data were available at the time the report was published.
