No. Indicative action Expected outputs 2.1.3 Use the e-commerce hub network to facilitate the use of international platforms to enable export sales by businesses in Myanmar Online presence of Myanmar exporting MSMEs is secured and Myanmar e-commerce firms better positioned to move e-commerce into foreign currency earner. International platforms provide comprehensive service portfolios for e-commerce businesses including warehousing and fulfilment services in many countries. Priority level Medium Supported by: Related strategies MoC, MoI, UMFCCI, ITC, EU, EUROCHA M, AMCHAM A major problem that exporters face is a reticence amongst buyers to buy from what they see as a foreign supplier. The use of an international platform and the ability to deliver locally reduces that reticence. It enables a Myanmar supplier to offer the same delivery terms and conditions as a local supplier. Ordinarily, for any business, fast moving goods would be warehoused close to export markets and slower moving goods would be kept centrally and delivered as individual packages from Myanmar under different delivery terms and conditions. Determining the optimum approach to e-commerce using such international platforms is not easy. Any business considering such a move needs support. This would be provided through the E-commerce Hub network. Goal 2.2: B2B platforms and B2C platforms to provide a service portfolio micro, small and medium sized businesses may use to access suppliers and buyers 2.2.1 Develop a general-purpose e-commerce platform for B2B use. Overcoming as One: COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan This platform would accommodate general purpose B2B trade. It would support the buying and selling of discrete commodities. It would not provide support for specific sectors, or geographic areas. It would not trade in commodities. Action 5.1.2 promotes usage of ecommerce and social-commerce systems and requires the development of a central ecommerce website for business use. 20
