Consistent progress is made towards
creating deeper-integration with the
ASEAN-region as well as the global
economy through RTAs and negotiations
at the WTO. These efforts may go beyond
e-commerce chapters/provisions of trade
agreements
and
will
strengthen
Myanmar’s position as an open and
inclusive market. Gains from existing
integration arrangements will be pursued
as well as mutually beneficial
relationships with new strategic trade
partners.
Intra-ASEAN agreements and RTAs are reviewed
to ensure that they remain relevant and responsive
to the needs of businesses operating in Myanmar,
especially the MSME sectors.
