The increase in mobile phone ownership
has mainly occurred in smaller townships
and has contributed to much of the market’s growth (Table 6).
The population belonging to higher SECs
(Annex 1) were more likely to be mobile
owners. Individuals in SEC A, B and C1
were more likely to be mobile owners
than not, while the opposite was true for
the lower SECs D and E. Equal proportions of those belonging to the lower middle income category SEC C2 were mobile
owners and non-owners (Figure 37)
