The military council conducted a substantial number of airstrikes across
various regions, with Rakhine reporting the highest at 176 incidents. Shan
(North) followed closely with 151 airstrikes, while Mandalay recorded 132.
Other regions included Kachin with 109, Sagaing with 71, Magway with 45, and
both Chin and Tanintharyi with 39 each. Additionally, Karen reported 29
incidents, Bago 9 incidents, Karenni 8 incidents, and both Mon and Shan
(South) recorded 6 incidents each. From May 2024 to August 2024, a series of
airstrikes executed by the military council led to the tragic demise of 455
civilians. Moreover, the incidents left 819 individuals wounded, while 61
religious buildings, 28 schools, and 16 health infrastructures were destroyed.
There were also a lot of damage to houses, vehicles, livestock and farms.
