Abstract

Athan’s latest research systematically examines the freedom of expression and assembly within areas controlled by resistance forces. Between 2021 and 2026, we documented 49 public movements across revolutionary-controlled territories. People protested against governance failures, unfair taxation, natural resource extraction, and arbitrary arrests. While the struggle for a federal democracy continues, this report highlights the vital need for accountability and human rights standards in administrative governance. 🔍 Key Highlights:
