iMAP Myanmar 2023 Internet Censorship Report | Page 33 Blocked Websites by Region and State Map 1: Blocked websites by states and regions During the study period, it was found that there is a high percentage of likely blocked websites in the Chin and Rakhine regions. These two regions are areas of conflict in the country. Overall, the majority of likely blocked sites are found in recent anti-SAC zones. However, it should be noted that this regional analysis is conducted on the assumption that censorship is done consistently by ISPs across regions. This is because OONI measurements only collect information on ASN/ISP; they do not collect geolocation.
