March Mar 3 Mar 7 Mar 7 Location: Hpasawng town, Hpasawng Township, Karenni State Location: Myikyina-Bhamo road, Waingmaw Township, Kachin State Location: Laiza, Waingmaw Township, Kachin State Junta jets struck Hpasawng town in Karenni State. Junta troops also set fire to some parts of the town. Kachin Independence Army (KIA) forces launched coordinated attacks against junta military outposts along the Myitkyina-Bhamo Road. By the end of the day, the KIA had seized ten junta outposts. On the morning of March 7, Laiza, Kachin State, was bombarded with both airstrikes and shelling. Residents shared video recordings of the aftermath of the attacks, showing smoke rising from sites in Myanmar and inside Chinese territory. Laiza Waingmaw Township, Kachin State March 7, 2024 Morning Killed: 2 Mar 26 Location: Nawng Lek (Nawng Laik) village, Bhamo Township Kachin State 10 a.m. Junta aircraft dropped a bomb on Nawng Lek (Nawng Laik) village, Bhamo Township, Kachin State, injuring a couple in their sixties. 4 p.m. Later that day, at approximately 4 p.m., junta forces from Military Operations Command 21, based in Bhamo town, attacked the same village. Age and Sex: Children: 1 Women: 1 10 30 1 1 April Apr 1 Apr 15 Location: Ja Mai village, Bhamo-Lweje Road, Momauk Township, Kachin State Location: Mabein Township, Border of Kachin and Shan states 1:30 a.m. The Myanmar military conducted airstrikes in Mabein Township, reportedly killing six civilians. Mabein town has been under the control of the Kachin Independence Army and its allied forces since February 19, 2024. Junta air force jets attacked Ja Mai village in Kachin State’s Momauk Township, targeting a rest stop for truck drivers.
