Myanmar’s internet suppression
On Feb. 7–8, right around when the 30-hour internet shutdown ends, the
internet remains slow for around 30 hours. This means that even though
the internet is back on, its slow speed hampers people’s ability to use it,
especially for data-heavy activities like posting or watching videos.
In the second week of February, the internet slows down daily, especially
during the daytime and evening when more people are using it.
